When it comes to looking better naked, and feeling better all around, there’s no more important element than nutrition.
You can’t lose weight by exercising alone, unless you’re on some punishing regimen. You have to eat right as well. Focusing on what’s nutritious rather than just counting calories will make eating more enjoyable. There’s not a lot of calories in vegetables and fruit. Add a little fish or chicken, along with some grains for breakfast and fruit for lunch and you have a well balanced diet.
Put yourself on a Nutrition Program designed specifically for you, your likes and dislikes. It will require discipline on your part. You could also make a Nutrition Chart. Nothing elaborate, one on a couple of sheets of paper will do. Or you can find one on the internet that gives you some valuable information on the Nutritional Value of certain foods.
For example, here’s a chart based on the ANDI score, the Aggregate Nutrient Density Index.
It’s a formula devised by Dr. Joel Fuhrman based on the nutrient per calorie density in foods because it’s his belief that our health is dependent on a high nutrient density in our diet. So foods with a high ANDI score deliver large amount of nutrients with each calorie consumed, the highest score possible being 1,000. Each food gets a label that gives Nutrient Dense Foods a score out of 1,000.
There are a tons of similar charts and graphs that calculate a wide variety of foods in terms of calories, fat, carbs, etc. I’m sure you can find the ones that help you design a diet that best suits your individual needs.
Couple a nutritious diet with exercise and you’re well on your way to looking good with your clothes on or off.
I like this one because it combines a workout with a nutrition guide: Autumn Calabrese’s 21 Day Fix EXTREME.
